EARNINGS

Companies Reporting Earnings, Week of November 2nd, 2025:

AI PROMPTS

In investing, 'what' to buy is only half the battle. The other half is 'when' to buy.

The 'what' can be answered through Fundamental Analysis:

  • Analyzing a company's financial statement. Specifically, the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Finding out if the company is actually a good business. Is it profitable? Is it drowning in debt? Most importantly, is it cheap (undervalued) or expensive (overvalued) compared to its competitors?

The 'when' be can answered through Technical Analysis:

  • Reading market sentiment and momentum through charts to identify entry and exit points.
  • Analyzing price and volume action to verify short-term/long-term trends.

Based on the definitions above, we've designed two prompts for you that will seriously enhance and accelerate your stock research process.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Let's get to it.

โš™๏ธ Prompt #1: Fundamental Analysis

๐Ÿ’ก Purpose: This prompt is designed to provide a holistic view of a company's financial health, forcing a peer-to-peer comparison for context.

#CONTEXT:

Act as an expert fundamental analyst. I need a concise fundamental evaluation of a company based on its three financial statements.
โ€‹
#INPUTS:
**Ticker to Analyze:** [e.g., $HD]
**Competitor Tickers for Comparison:** [e.g., $LOW, $TSCO]
**Industry Average:** [e.g., "Home Improvement Retail"]
โ€‹
#TASK:
Using the most recent TTM (Trailing Twelve Months) data, generate a fundamental analysis report. For each financial ratio, you *must* provide the value for my target company and compare it against its competitors and the industry average.
โ€‹
1. **Profitability (From the Income Statement):**
*P/E Ratio (Price-to-Earnings):* [Value, and is this high/low vs. peers?]
*Operating Margin %:* [Value, and is this better/worse than peers?]
*EPS Growth (YoY):* [Value, and is it growing faster/slower than peers?]
โ€‹
2. **Financial Health (From the Balance Sheet):**
*Debt-to-Equity Ratio:* [Value. How does its leverage compare to peers?]
*Current Ratio:* [Value. Does it have strong short-term liquidity vs.

peers?]
โ€‹
3. **Cash Flow (From the Cash Flow Statement):**
*Price-to-Cash-Flow (P/CF):* [Value. Is it cheaper/more expensive than

peers on a cash basis?]
*Free Cash Flow (FCF) Yield:* [Value. Is it generating more or less cash

for shareholders than its peers?]
โ€‹
#OUTPUT:
Based *only* on the fundamental data above, provide a 2-3 sentence summary answering these two questions:

โ€‹
1. What is the key "fundamental story" of this company? (e.g., "A high-

profitability, high-leverage company...")

โ€‹
2. Fundamentally, does this stock appear to be [Undervalued / Fairly Valued /

Overvalued] relative to its direct competitors?

โš™๏ธ Prompt #2: Technical Analysis Scorecard

๐Ÿ’ก Purpose: This prompt instructs your LLM to calculate and interpret the most popular technical indicators, then synthesize them into a single, actionable summary.

#CONTEXT:

Act as an expert technical analyst. I need a comprehensive technical analysis "scorecard" for a stock I am researching.
โ€‹
#INPUTS:
**Ticker:** [e.g., $AAPL]
**Time Horizon:** [e.g., Short-term (daily chart), Mid-term (weekly chart)]
โ€‹
#TASK:
Based on the most recent market data for my chosen ticker and time horizon, generate a report by evaluating the following key indicators. For each, provide the data and a one-sentence interpretation (e.g., "Bullish," "Bearish," or "Neutral").
โ€‹
1. **Trend Analysis (Moving Averages):**
*50-Day vs. 200-Day MA:* What is the 50-day moving average? What is the

200-day? Is the 50-day *above* (Golden Cross) or *below* (Death Cross)

the 200-day?
*Interpretation:*
โ€‹
2. **Momentum Analysis (RSI):**
*14-Day RSI:* What is the current Relative Strength Index (RSI)?
*Interpretation:* (Is it overbought >70, oversold <30, or in a neutral/

strong trend?)
โ€‹
3. **Volatility Analysis (Bollinger Bands):**
*Price vs. Bands:* Is the current price touching the upper band, lower

band, or near the 20-day (middle) moving average?
*Interpretation:* (e.g., "Signaling potential mean reversion" or

"Confirming a strong breakout"?)
โ€‹
4. **Volume & "Smart Money" Analysis (OBV):**
*On-Balance Volume (OBV) Trend:* Is the OBV trend *confirming* the price

trend (e.g., new price highs are confirmed by new OBV highs) or

*diverging* from it?
*Interpretation:* (Is volume flowing in or out, suggesting accumulation

or distribution?)
โ€‹
5. **Key Levels (Support & Resistance):**
*Support:* What is the nearest major support level?
*Resistance:* What is the nearest major resistance level?
โ€‹
#OUTPUT:
After evaluating all five points, provide a 1-2 sentence "Overall Technical Summary" that synthesizes these signals. Conclude with a final, one-word outlook: **[Bullish / Bearish / Neutral]**.
