As of June 6, that public poll has over 5 million votes AND someone already created a crypto coin called XPARTY that represents this new political party. Crazy stuff.

Economic Reports

🏠 US rent inflation returns as construction stalls. Don't ignore this trend. Rent makes up a large portion of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which the Fed looks at to see how bad overall inflation really is. Sticky inflation = delayed interest rate cuts (or even rate hikes) = stock market decline.

💵 Dollar weakens on renewed tariff concerns. A weaker dollar might sound bad, but it's actually bullish for the stock market. It makes U.S. exports cheaper and more competitive abroad, which translates into higher earnings for multinational companies (e.g., Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia).

🌍 The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) lowered its global economic growth outlook to 2.9% for 2025 and 2026, down from 3.3% last year. On the surface, it might seem like this forecast would negatively affect the stock market. But our contrarian take is that the market has already priced in economic uncertainty from tariffs, so any price swings that do happen in the future, will be triggered by extraneous factors.

Profile: Digital infrastructure company. IPO'd in April 2022. Market cap of $2.87B. Last closed at $12.77/share.

Financials: Full-Year 2024 revenue reached $165.6 million, a 199% increase from the previous year.

Risk/Opportunity: Currently operating at net loss, but the company recently announced two 15-year leases with CoreWeave that will bring in $7 billion in new revenue.

The Verdict: The profitability struggle is real. CoreWeave partnership is significant due to the long-term commitment. This is a good company to add to the watchlist and re-evaluate once net losses improve.

Constellation Energy ($CEG)

Profile: Carbon-free energy company. IPO'd in February 2022. Market cap of $90.85B. Last closed at $289.88/share.

Financials: Revenue for Q1 2025 reached $6.79B, up 10% YoY.

Risk/Opportunity: The company's profit margin decreased to 1.7% from 14% a year ago. However, it signed a 20-year agreement with Meta Platforms to fuel the big tech company’s energy-intensive data center buildout.

The Verdict: Profit margin is thinning, but long-term agreement with Meta is bullish. Nuclear energy in general is transitioning into supportive environment. Good company to monitor as national energy production strategy evolves.

📈 Moderate Impact | IRS Makes Direct File Software Open Source

• Background: The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) published most of the code for its Direct File on GitHub, making it open source and available for others to use.

• Investor Impact: This development is bearish for paid tax filing services like TurboTax (built by Intuit) and H&R Block. Since the Direct File code base is public now, anyone can pretty much use it to build out their own free tax filing system and undermine Intuit's and H&R Block's business models.

👀 Watchlist | Amazon Plans to Automate Package Fulfillment with Robots

• Background: Humanoid robots will be be trained to jump out of Amazon’s Rivian-made delivery vans for last-mile package delivery and actually drop the package at your doorstep.

• Investor Impact: Bullish for Amazon once this technology becomes mature. Modern robots still have trouble walking on two legs and carrying heavy packages. Replacing human workers with robots would improve Amazon's earnings since AI doesn't need PTO or health insurance, but if this were to actually happen on a large scale, expect some public push back.
