📢 Stock in the Headlines: Archer Aviation ($ACHR)

Reason for attention: Archer Aviation plans to launch commercial air taxi service in the US before the LA Olympic Games in 2028.

Profile: Electric vertical takeoff and landing company. IPO'd in September 2021. Market cap of $7.11B. Last closed at $11.21/share.

• Strengths:
  • High liquidity. Company ended Q1 2025 with its strongest-ever cash position of ~$1.03 billion.
  • Path to commercialization. Built high‑volume manufacturing facility in Georgia and established a pilot training academy certified by the FAA.
  • Strategic Partnerships. Launch Edition agreements with Abu Dhabi Aviation and Ethiopian Airlines. Manufacturing support from Stellantis.

• Weaknesses:
  • No revenue. Relying on future commercialization for value creation.
  • Heavy losses. Operating losses indicate high burn and path-dependent funding needs.
  • Insider Selling. Recent insider sales (including from CFO/CTO) and stake reductions by institutional holders.

The Verdict: High-risk, high-reward position.

⛰️ Tech Terrain

On July 23, the White House released the AI Action Plan, the Trump administration's massive AI roadmap.

Here are the 3 main pillars:

1. Accelerate AI Innovation

3. Lead in International AI Diplomacy and Security

Point #2 presents opportunities and major upside potential for companies like Nvidia, OpenAI, and Google who are already investing billions of dollars into building out data centers and AI computing capabilities.
