*Stock data as of market close on April 4, 2025. Cryptocurrency data as of 5:00pm ET.
β Markets
- The Nasdaq slid into bear market territory π», the Dow closed down over 2,000 points for only the fourth time in history βΌοΈ, and over 95% of the S&P 500 traded lower on Friday, April 4 π. This is f*ckin crazy: Stocks have lost a combined $5 trillion in the last two days, and just under $10 trillion since Trumpβs inauguration on Jan 20.
- Bitcoin climbed to a weekly high of $87k on Apr 2 but finished the week off at about $84k.
- Fear and Greed Index went deeper into Extreme Fear by 18 points. If you're invested in the stock market, you might be feeling anxious or nervous. But remember what we said a few weeks ago: When everyone else is panicking, this is the signal to start buying. But don't go crazy and spend all your cash on random discounted stocks; you have to be methodical.

Economic Reports
The Yale Budget Lab said on Mar 31 that a 20% blanket levy could push inflation up by over 2% from current levels, and diminish Americansβ buying power by $3,400 to $4,200 per household.
Goldman Sachs lowered its GDP projection for the full year by half a point, predicting GDP will rise just 1%, and upped its chances of a recession from its previous 20% estimate to 35%.
The US Dollar Index had its worst day in two years, with the dollar weakening significantly against currencies of other countries like Canada, Mexico, and South Korea.

π Stock Picks
β $RBLX (Roblox) π Publicly traded since 2021 π° Specializes in online gaming π Headquarters in San Mateo, Californiaβ β
Financial Green Flags
Based on Quarterly/Annual Earnings Report:
β
Net income is up 32.2% Year-over-Year
β
Diluted EPS are up 36.5% Year-over-Year
β
Free cash flow is up 54% Year-over-Year
β Things to Consider
π‘ Q4 results showed a concerning drop in daily active users from 88.9M to 85.3M, missing analystsβ 88.4M expectations.
π‘ Roblox has unlocked a new revenue level beyond its in-game transactions by teaming up with Google to introduce βrewarded video ads."
β The Bottom Line
There's no hiding that the number of Roblox daily active users has declined by over 3 million, but at the same time, revenue has been going up and the company has beat EPS expectations for the last 4 quarters. The company's plan to incorporate ads that will offer in-game perks for watching up to 30-second full-screen videos has been met with some criticism, but this revenue strategy has been proven to work by Netflix and Spotify.
$CRCL (Circle) π Not yet publicly traded π° Creator of USDC stablecoin π Headquarters in New York City, New York
β Financial Green Flags
Based on S-1 filing:
β
$1.68B in revenue and reserve income in 2024, a 15.8% increase year-over-year
β
Revenues more than doubled since first attempt to IPO in 2022β β
Things to Consider
π‘ Circle owns 26% of the stablecoin market with over $60B of USDC in circulation.
π‘ According to the World Economic Forum, the total transfer volume of stablecoins hit $27.6 trillion last year, surpassing the combined volume of Visa and Mastercard transactions in 2024.
β The Bottom Line
Just to be clear, Circle has not gone public yet. It plans to do its IPO at the end of April. Based on what is publicly known, Circle has a very strong position in the stablecoin market and has a robust revenue model. It earns yield on the reserve assets it owns mostly in the form of interest and transaction fees and tokenizes them for use on chain. Like we've said before, the first few days after a stock goes public are pretty volatile. It's best practice to first observe and then decide on an entry point once the price action stabilizes.
